For the very first time Peggy Dylan will take a group to Nepal
for an amazing and Spirit-filled journey in the Himalayas! |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Join Peggy Dylan in SUNDOOR's first Spiritual Adventure Nepal and experience the spiritual roots hidden deep in the
Himalayas! Swami Keshavadas, Peggy's root-guru, said that to put foot in the Himalayas guarantees enlightenment. We
are thrilled to be able to offer this life-changing journey to Nepal, in which we will not only put foot in the
Himalayas, but trek in them! Draped along the spine of the Himalayas, Nepal is a land rich in scenic splendor and
cultural treasures; including the colorful hill-tribes, Tibetan monasteries, and some of the best hiking trails on
earth. The Lonely Planet guide calls Nepal the best place for trekking on earth and says the best time is the start
of the dry season in November: the weather is balmy, the air is clean, visibility is perfect and the countryside is
lush and green following the monsoon.
You will meet and do ceremony with Tibetan lamas, deepen your understanding of Tibetan Buddhism, hang prayer flags from the
top of the Swayambhu Temple with prayers for yourself, humanity and your loved ones, and join the human prayer wheel as it
circles the great stupa in Kathmandu. This is a spiritual adventure, a pilgrimage, with rich enjoyment of the diversity of
our beautiful planet and a deepening of your spiritual path. Peggy will lead the journey and your fellow pilgrims will be
companions from SUNDOOR, so we can guarantee there will be eventful meetings with high lamas, spontaneous rituals and
other blessings now unforeseeable. There will also be plenty of opportunity to shop for the excellent handicrafts and
spiritual wares so readily available in Nepal.
Early Bird price: US$2800 (book before 05/31)
Standard Price: US$2995
This first SUNDOOR Adventure to Nepal is limited to 20 people only, on a first come, first served basis.

Nubri Monastery extension trip
October 27-November 1
For those of you who can join us for the first portion, we will helicopter food and supplies to the Nubri Monastery:
a once in a lifetime experience. This monastery is only accessible by foot on a treacherous and exhausting nine-day
trail by which all supplies usually need to be carried. The monks and nuns often go without much sustenance so our
relief, bought with proceeds donated in Initiation's auctions, will be most welcome. We will stay for two unforgettable
days filled with ceremony and prayer with these devoted monks and nuns in their inaccessible retreat in the midst of the
Himalayas.
Price for the 6 day extension: US$850
The extension trip is limited to 10 adventurers only, on a first come, first served basis and includes the cost of the
helicopter rides.

We are currently considering the Annapurna Tatopani Loop trek, a colorful trek in the Annapurna region. The trail
winds through patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests and has great views of the high mountains. On the trail we enjoy
the relaxing hot springs of Tatopani, which is considered some of the best trekking in Nepal. Enjoy the spectacular
mountain scenery while hiking through charming villages inhabited by the Gurungs. Dense rhododendron forests full of
birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurnas with the stunning peak of Machhapuchare dominating
the skyline, makes this amazingly rewarding for nature lovers. One of the highlights of this trek is doing ceremony
and then watching the sun rise on one of the most spectacular mountain views on earth. As the sun touches the snow-capped
summits, the Himalayan giants - Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Annapurna (8091m) along with the jagged edge of other peaks -
gradually reveal their grandeur. At this moment standing in this glory we understand suddenly why setting foot in the
Himalayas allows us to touch enlightenment.
A percentage of the trip's proceeds and the auction revenue raised in other SUNDOOR trainings
will be used to support the Tibetan Lamas and monasteries in Nepal!
